What Blink is

The 60-second version

If you only read one screen, read this one.

The whole case, before the detail.

The problem

Seven or eight tools fight to carry comms. Business chat happens on personal WhatsApp. And most of the people pulling pints for Punch never see any of it.

The fix

One app for the whole estate. News, chat, and every system behind one front door. Publicans bring their pub teams in with a QR code, numbers stay masked, and every message is on the record.

The proof

Signature Pub Group moved 24 venues off WhatsApp with Blink. McDonald's and Domino's run on it. Halfords, your warm introduction, is live today.

The ask

A wider stakeholder session in person, and one proposal with both rollout options fully costed.

Our journey so far.

Two sessions in, with the path ahead set at your pace.

We were relying on WhatsApp before, which intrudes on people's private lives.

Two audiences, two paths

You have two groups to convince. Here is each one.

Leadership signs off first. Then IT and compliance close out security, data, and licensing. A path for each.

Path one, for leadership

What changes when everyone is connected.

Your brand, not ours

Blink. And you're in great company.

From the app icon and name down to the details, Blink disappears behind your brand. These are real customer apps. Nobody behind the bar needs to know we exist.

The business case

What to put in front of leadership.

Two ways to roll out

Pick the scope. The plan flexes to fit.

Option one

The full estate

~8,000 users
  • Around 400 Punch colleagues, support centre and on the road
  • Around 1,200 publicans running their pubs
  • Every pub team member, brought in by their publican
Option two

The phased start

~1,800–2,000 users
  • Managers and publicans first, where comms breaks most
  • Keeps the first commitment comfortably inside your approval process
  • Pub teams join as phase two, off the back of phase one
Before you pitch it

The questions Andy will ask.

Why not do nothing?
The WhatsApp risk grows every month: no control, no audit trail, personal numbers doing Punch business. The pubs stay out of reach, and every new initiative fights the same seven or eight channels for attention.
What does it cost?
The calculator on this page is indicative list pricing only. At Punch's size, the real commercials sit in a custom Enterprise Licence Agreement with a committed term, plus a one-off implementation cost. Both rollout options will be costed side by side in one proposal.
What if it flops?
It's the right question, because you get one go at this. A named Implementation Manager builds it with us, runs in-pub launches, and stays until around 80% of people are active, at no extra cost. And the phased option proves it on managers and publicans before the wider estate.
Why Blink?
It already runs pubs: Signature Group took 24 venues off WhatsApp with it. It's rated number one for employee comms on Gartner Peer Insights. And Halfords is one phone call away for a reference we can't filter.

Path two, for IT and compliance

Built to pass a security and data review.

What IT needs to assess Blink. Full detail in the Trust Centre.

Security and compliance

  • ISO 27001 certified
  • AWS hosted, data residency detail on request
  • SSO, with Blink as a SAML 2.0 identity provider
  • User and data compartmentalisation across sites

Reach without exception

  • No corporate email: activate by phone, SMS code, or QR
  • No smartphone? Manager-led activation, with SMS and email fallback
  • Mobile-first, with desktop and web too
  • Kiosk mode for shared devices

Fits around your stack

    Safety and control

    • Moderation with keyword flagging on posts and comments
    • Audit logging and admin oversight
    • Chat controlled, restricted, or switched off
    • Granular notifications, including do-not-disturb

    The SharePoint and licensing answer

Stewart's question: can pub teams without Microsoft licences see SharePoint content through Blink? Yes, and here's the short version.

    • Licensed Punch colleagues open SharePoint as themselves, through SSO
    • Content shared more widely is read-only. Blink pulls it through the Graph API and displays it. Nobody unlicensed touches SharePoint
    • That's the line Microsoft's multiplexing rules draw, and our customer SPG runs this model at scale with no extra licences
    • The written detail has been with you since 13 July. Happy to join a call with your Microsoft account team if that helps
SharePoint stays the source of truth Graph API read-only Blink Hub the conduit, one front door Punch colleagues, licensed full access via SSO, as themselves Pub teams, unlicensed surfaced content, read-only
